Badlands Heritage Celebration of Arts and Culture
This weekend! Friday, Saturday & Sunday, July 20, 21 & 22, 2012!
All event are FREE and open to the public

- Music & Dance Performances begin at 9:00am & 1:30pm Sat & Sun
- Sons of the Oglala & Creekside Drum Groups - Dallas Chief Eagle, Hoop Dancer - Traditional Lakota Dancers
- Cultural Demonstrations from 9:00am to 5:30pm Sat & Sun
- Flint Knapping, Atlatl Demo, Junior Ranger Programs & more @ BRVC* Handgames, Hide Tanning, Horse Races & Games @ WRVC*
- Art and Craft vendors will have items available for purchase at both locations
- Evening Programs @ 9:00pm at BRVC*
- Friday: Ranger Lampson - "Prairie Dance, A Celebration of Life"
- Saturday Keynote Speaker: "Traditional Lakota Philosophy," Jace DeCory, BHSU
- Sunday: Ranger Conroy - "Lakota Star Knowledge & Sacred Sites"
- Night Sky Program at 10:15pm at BRVC*
- Observe the Badlands Night Sky using park telescopes & binoculars
- Locations:
- Friday evening, Saturday all day & Sunday evening events held @ * Ben Reifel Visitor Center (BRVC), 9 miles south of exit 131, off I-90
- Sunday events held @ * White River Visitor Center (WRVC), 20 miles south of Scenic, SD, Intersection of Hwys. 27 & 2
