-----------------------------------------------------Wounded Knee Museum will be reopening summer of 2017
After the fire in September 2012, The Wounded Knee Museum exhibits were reconstructed and displayed at a temporary location, but will be returning to their original location in Wall, South Dakota with an expected opening date of May 2017. We will be expanding our displays and exhibits. The Wounded Knee Museum opened in 2003 to share the events leading to the massacre at Wounded Knee in 1890.
We appreciate your continued support, understanding and prayers during this transition of rebuilding. We look forward to seeing you in 2017!

He My name is Casey Good Buffalo and Iam the Current Vice President of the Wounded Knee Community and we are suffering as well still to this day we have one building here and it is our wounded knee community center we need alot of repairs and we are not a tribal program so we do not get much help from the Tribal building so we are asking for any donations as well for the Wounded Knee Community as well for help with Medical Assistance and heating assistance and other food as well we are located here in Wounded knee S.D right above the WK post office and please if anyone wants to help out please give us a call or send us a letter or post on WoundedKneeCommunity@facebook.com or mail to Wounded Knee CommunityService Center
