Imagine a Place, the Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary Sponsor Mustangs


March 10, 2010 - Hot Springs, South Dakota – PK Productions LLC in association with Institute of Range and the American Mustang presents the world film premiere of, "Imagine A Place, the Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary Sponsor Mustangs" a new documentary film by Christopher Crosby. Founded in 1988, by Dayton O. Hyde, the half hour documentary follows the daily life of six Sanctuary sponsored mustangs.

The Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary's film premiere, along with a special 85th birthday tribute in honor of Sanctuary founder, Dayton O. Hyde, will take place on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 2 p.m. at the Hot Springs Theater, Hot Springs, South Dakota. Tickets for the 2 p.m. matinee are $10.00 and are available at the theatre on the afternoon of the show. The Hot Springs Theatre is located at 241 N. River Street, Hot Springs, South Dakota. Proceeds to benefit the Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary.

The birthday tribute will also feature an opening ceremony by award winning, Traditional Drum Performance Group, Wind Spirit Drum. The afternoon program will also include award winning, Native American singer/songwriter, Michael Bucher' NAMA nominated music video short, "Don’t Forget About Me", also directed by Crosby, in 2008. Don't Forget About Me was shot on location at the Black Hill Wild Horse Sanctuary’s petrogylph site, along with other regional locations.

The Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary is North America’s largest with 11,000-acre ranch located along the Cheyenne River in Fall River County in western South Dakota. The Sanctuary’s purpose is dedicated to range preservation and a balanced ecosystem and, provides freedom for unadoptable wild horses. The ranch is also a research area dedicated to solving the problems of wild horse herd management that will contribute to the well being of wild horses everywhere.

PK Productions, LLC, an indigenous music management representation, production media and public relations company was founded in the Black Hills of South Dakota in 2006.
The event is produced by the Institute of Range and the American Mustang, Studio West Management and the Hot Springs Theatre.

BIO - Dayton O. Hyde Founder and President - Institute of Range and the American Mustang. Dayton Hyde is a rancher, photographer, essayist and author of 17 books, including "Sandy", "Don Coyote”, "Yamsi" and "Pastures of Beyond". Hyde has been called a rancher’s rancher and a naturalist’s naturalist. He is a man whose wonderful observations bring home the powerful fact that a human being is responsible to the land and is not its master. He now runs The Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary, a 14000-acre ranch in Western South Dakota where he protects wild horses.
